Affordable Lending Summit 2018

What is Massachusetts doing to address the lack of affordable housing?

What programs and changes are available for affordable lending products?

Where can consumers go for down payment and closing cost assistance?

How can you increase your reach to first-time and low-to-moderate homebuyers?

Join us for an all-day program on Affordable Lending and learn how to meet more of your borrower’s needs!

As property values continue to increase and new construction seems to be geared to higher income borrowers – what is the Commonwealth doing to create affordable housing in Massachusetts?  Secretary Ash is responsible for directing and executing Governor Charlie Baker’s agenda on housing and community development, job creation, business development, consumer affairs, and business regulation.

  • Affordable Lending Products: Representatives from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHLB, MassHousing and MHP will provide an overview and updates of affordable lending products for consumers.  An overview of FHA, VA and USDA products will also be included.
  • Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance: Chip Coveney, SVP of Eastern Bank, will moderate a panel of  representatives discussing what options are available for consumers. Representatives include the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, MassHousing, NeighborWorks Southern Mass, Department of Housing and Community Development and Paul Yorkis -MAR Past President and Realtor.
